The Grant County Board of Commissioners voted Dec. 1 to accept a bid from Nexus to provide reassessment services for 2026–2030 and authorized county staff to receive a formal contract for counsel review.
The contract, described by staff as covering an annual trending and ratio study across property classes, sale validation, field reviews for specified parcels and unlimited appeals support, was presented with a total cost of $360,000 and an annual amount of $90,000. Staff emphasized that Nexus has provided reassessment services to the assessor's office in prior cycles and that Nexus was the only firm to submit a bid this round.
Commissioners moved to approve the bid so the vendor could submit a formal contract for review by Mister Harper. The board recorded unanimous approval on the motion. Staff said the vendor will provide appeals support, including representation at applicable hearings.
Next steps: county counsel will review the formal contract when it is submitted and staff will finalize procurement paperwork and implementation schedules as appropriate.
