The council formally recognized Shane Perry, described in the meeting as the district 3 council member from 2020 to 2025, and thanked him and his wife Vicky for years of community service. A presenter recounted Perry's municipal involvement, service on the library board and community activities; Perry thanked colleagues, family and citizens for the opportunity to serve and described the council as a second family.
