The Connersville Common Council approved a package of short-form budget-transfer resolutions and later authorized a local-match commitment for a prospective water infrastructure grant during its Dec. 1 meeting.
City staff read six transfer resolutions (2025-87 through 2025-92) moving funds among general, public-safety, airport, and transportation accounts. Among the items read into the record were: a $40,000 transfer to first-aid nonreverting and $40,049.27 from general (Resolution 2025-87); $36,467 from public-safety fire to fire nonreverting (2025-88); $8,445 from public-safety police to police nonreverting (2025-89); $18,150 from public-safety EMS to first-aid nonreverting (2025-90); $54,000 from Airport Trust to Airport nonreverting (2025-91); and $100,000 from “MBH other materials” to DOT nonreverting (2025-92). The council moved, seconded and approved the package by voice vote.
Later in the meeting the council approved Resolution 2025-93, a local-match commitment that the city will provide if it is awarded an external grant for water improvements. The grant presented to the council was identified in the meeting as a $750,000 award opportunity; staff described matching funds to be financed principally through the State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan program with a small additional contribution from the city’s water utility operating fund.
All votes in the meeting were taken by voice and recorded as "motion carried" or "aye"; the meeting record does not include roll-call tallies tied to individual council members for these items.
The council adjourned after brief miscellaneous announcements, including a reminder about the upcoming Winterfest.
