Scott County commissioners on Oct. 15 approved several routine administrative items: they authorized Cease (Clarissa Miller) to prepare and submit a grant application for a church renovation project, approved two FMLA requests as eligible, accepted two sets of minutes from Oct. 7 and Oct. 8, and authorized staff to pay a $10,000 legal invoice from Lewis and Katz when it is submitted.
The board also reviewed a generator maintenance contract with an online signature process and discussed whether the roughly $6,000 one-time maintenance payment should come from the department budget. Commissioners deferred final action on the generator contract until staff confirm Eric’s budget can cover the expense or appropriate action is taken.
Commissioners asked staff to coordinate with directors to inventory items at the new city hall for potential reuse at county facilities and noted council approval of up to $8,000 in auction funds for an Oct. 26 auction. The board also scheduled follow-up steps for the Cease grant and for processing the special invoice when it is received.
