Central County Soccer requested permission Nov. 17 to install removable fencing behind the field to block errant balls and to remodel the concession stand at Waterford Park. Josh, representing the group, said the association would fund the work and would contract the construction.
"We're willing to pay for them if y'all are okay with it," Josh said when presenting the plan and a layout for the concession stand. Court members discussed permitting, utility location and maintenance coordination; staff reminded the soccer group that contractors must obtain any required business licenses and permits before work begins.
Magistrates moved to approve the upgrades in conjunction with county parts and maintenance directors, and they added the requested protections: contractors must call utility‑locate services before digging (as noted in the meeting) and county employees would be held harmless for association work. The motion passed by voice vote.
County staff will coordinate with the association and the maintenance director to ensure contractors obtain licenses and follow county permitting procedures.
