The Bartlett Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved several routine and new-business items during the meeting, including a state training equipment grant and the scheduling of a future public hearing.
Finance director Mr. Phoebus described Resolution 4325 as a Tennessee training equipment grant for the police department for up to $13,700; the board approved receipt and appropriation of the funds and the resolution passed unanimously. The board approved a four-item consent agenda (dispensing with the board's second December meeting, acceptance of the October 2025 financial report, purchase of a 2026 Ford F-250 and purchase of employee applicant software) on a unanimous 6-0 vote.
The board also set a public hearing for Ordinance 25-09 — a first reading to rezone property west of the intersection of Ellendale Road and Old Brownsville from RS-18 to RS-15 to increase lot density (from about two lots per acre to 2.5 lots per acre) — for Jan. 13, 2026. Kim Taylor, planning director, said the request had a favorable recommendation from the Planning Commission and that the parcel includes a non-buildable stream limiting developable area.
The meeting closed with seasonal announcements about Bartlett's Storybook Christmas parade on Dec. 6 and other holiday performances and exhibits.
