The Lisle Village Board voted Dec. 1 to approve an ordinance amending the purchase-and-sale agreement for the property commonly known as 4703 Garfield Avenue.
Village Manager Cook told the board the amendment extends the originally specified inspection period and closing dates. According to the manager, both parties had agreed to the amendment before the original inspection deadline of Nov. 24, 2025. A motion to approve the ordinance was made and seconded; Clerk McQuillan called the roll and Trustees Duffy, Syma, Grau, McGovern and Olsen recorded 'Aye' votes, and the motion passed.
Why it matters: Amendments to purchase-and-sale agreements can change the timeline for property transfers and preserve the parties’ rights to continue inspections or negotiations. The board approved the extension without discussion recorded in the transcript.
No public comment on the ordinance was recorded at the meeting.
