At its reorganization meeting on Dec. 1, 2025, the Marple Newtown School Board nominated Dana Altobelli and declared her president pro tem for the session, and administered the oath of office to Nicholas Siano.
An unidentified meeting officer opened the reorganization meeting and said, “I'm gonna nominate Dana Altobelli as president pro tem.” After an individual roll-call vote the chair stated, “I declare miss Altobelli as president pro tem.” The action moved the board into the regular meeting sequence.
The chair then announced certificates of election issued by the Commonwealth for school directors elected Nov. 4 to four-year terms, naming Kate Byrne, Barb Harvey, Dave Desi and a variant spelling for Nicholas Siano. Shortly thereafter, according to the transcript, Nicholas Siano recited the oath of office: “I, Nicholas Siano, do solemnly swear and affirm,” pledging to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.
Later in the evening a nomination was made for Nick Siano to serve as vice president for 2026; after a roll call the presiding officer declared him vice president and recorded a 7-0 result in the transcript. No further leadership challenges were recorded.
The reorganization portion was brief and routine: certificates of election were offered for distribution and newly seated members were sworn. The board then adjourned the reorganization meeting and immediately called the regular meeting to proceed with standard agenda business.
