Commissioners recommended approval of PD-26-01, a request by Lake Ashton 2 Community Development District to amend its planned unit development ordinance to permit mobile food vending on common-area parcels that include the amenity center.

Heather Reuter told the commission the amendment covers approximately 54.18 acres of common-area parcels associated with the amenity center and nearby rights-of-way; staff said mobile food vendors at the site would remain subject to Winter Haven Code section 21-98. Because the amendment adds a use to an already developed parcel, staff said no significant additional impacts to public infrastructure are expected and recommended forwarding the request to the City Commission for final action.

A commissioner moved to recommend approval and the commission carried the motion by voice vote; the item will be forwarded to the City Commission for final action.
