Tim Dunn, president of the Bowling Green youth baseball program, addressed council during public comment to thank the city and staff for recent facility improvements at Carter Park.
"Our lighting project got completed out at Carter Park," Dunn said, describing new aluminum and steel poles and fixtures installed and noting the project finished in June. He also thanked council for support of a pavement project at the park's south end, including repainted handicap and parking spaces.
Dunn said the improvements, which drew additional teams to Carter Park, were the result of multi‑year efforts and included some grant funding and extensive volunteer work by the program's board. "On behalf of our board of trustees... we just wanna thank everyone for taking the initiative to support this because I know it was expensive," he said.
Mayor (unnamed) responded with praise for the organization's volunteers and long legacy in Bowling Green and thanked Dunn for his work over many years.
No formal council action followed the public comment; the remarks were recorded as a public thank‑you and acknowledgment of completed capital work.
