City presenters recapped a full calendar of Norwalk community events and promoted local businesses recognized in the 'Keeping it Norwalk' Business Spotlight.
The city said Wednesday summer concerts and Front Street Friday nights moved to Norwalk Park this year, listing performers and dates and noting vendor booths, kids zones and raffles. October activities included a city art exhibit, the 40th annual Arturo Sanchez Sr. Halloween Parade, community crafting events, a pumpkin float at the aquatic pavilion and Hargett House activities and trick-or-treating at City Hall.
The presentation also noted ribbon cuttings for new businesses, including a Cavani Electric billboard facing northbound on the 5 Freeway and several openings in November. The Business Spotlight singled out local favorites and encouraged residents to 'keep it Norwalk' by patronizing small businesses. The transcript named Toni Adesmendi of Ann Dance Studio and noted winners thanked residents for votes.
No policy actions or new vendor regulations were announced at the presentation; officials closed by encouraging residents to follow the Business Spotlight on social media and attend future events.
