Denton County proclaims End Polio Now Day and honors purchasing department’s 30-year award

A Rotarian noted, "Rotary has been involved with the polio eradication effort for over 35 years" and highlighted that global cases have fallen by more than 99 percent since the campaign began. The judge moved the proclamation and Commissioner Mitchell seconded; the court approved the proclamation unanimously.
The court also recognized the Denton County Purchasing Department for receiving its 30th annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement award. Scott, a purchasing department representative, thanked county leadership and current and former staff, calling the milestone "a testament to the unwavering commitment of the dedicated team." The chair moved to accept the recognition and the court approved the motion unanimously.
