Nick Padilla, who identified himself as a member of the public services department's traffic signal section, said crews were recently out on Norwalk streets making traffic-signal repairs to keep traffic moving safely and smoothly.
"Public services was out on the street recently," Padilla said. He added, "We're taking care of some red lights on Avenue, Emmanuel Salinas, and Civic Center Drive," identifying the immediate locations residents might notice work or altered traffic patterns.
Padilla urged residents to report any signal problems through the Norwalk Connects app: "If you spot an issue in your area, don't forget you can report it on the Norwalk Connects app. Once it's submitted, public services will be on the way." He also encouraged people to watch for crews in their neighborhoods: "Keep an eye out. You never know when they'll be rolling through your neighborhood next."
The announcement framed the repairs as part of ongoing community investment: "Build up Norwalk, investing in your community," Padilla said. The message provides a point of contact for residents who encounter malfunctioning signals; Padilla did not provide a schedule for remaining repairs or an estimate of when all identified intersections would be fixed.
