The South Fayette Township School District board completed its reorganization and elected leadership for 2026 at its Dec. 2 meeting, swearing in newly elected directors and selecting officers by roll-call votes.

Bill Gray was nominated for board president, accepted the nomination and was approved in a roll-call vote. The board subsequently nominated and approved Lynn Fornella as vice president. The reorganization process began with a president pro tempore vote among holdover members to carry out the leadership election.

Board members then discussed committee and external representative appointments, with several members agreeing to continue in or take on roles for organizations such as PSBA and Parkway representation; the board noted that some assignments will be finalized by January.

The board closed the reorganization meeting and convened its regular meeting immediately afterward. No amendments to the leadership results were recorded at the meeting.
