Riverside City Council administered the oath of office to four council members-elect during the Dec. 1 meeting.

Mayor Williams and the clerk led each new member through the oath. Council member-elect Steve Gaby, Angel Patterson, Freda Patterson and Brenda Frey each repeated the oath to support the constitutions of the United States and the State of Ohio, uphold the city charter and faithfully discharge the duties of Riverside City Council. Family members joined several council members at the dais for photos after the oath.

The manager thanked the guests and invited photos; the city clerk prepared and presented copies of the oath documents for signatures. The newly sworn members’ terms begin Jan. 1, 2026.
