At its Nov. 25 meeting the Wythe County Board of Supervisors approved a series of routine fiscal, grant and procurement items presented by Deputy County Administrator Matt Hankins and County Administrator Mr. Baird.
The board accepted a disbursement from the winding-down State Animal Response Team (SART) and appropriated $2,857.14 to account 320-446-1104 for supplies and training for the county's citizen animal-response team. The board also authorized staff to accept two noncompetitive state grants for litter prevention ($13,551.22) and an expanded-polystyrene campaign ($2,561.07).
On procurement, the board authorized a change order to the Bear Springs fire truck that reduces the vehicle's water capacity to allow additional mounted tools while maintaining a minimum pumper-tanker standard of 1,250 gallons. Hankins said the vendor proposed using Assistance to Localities (ATL) funds to cover the difference between the county's committed amount and the truck's final cost.
The board approved amendments to the CoreBridge plan agreement (county '457' retirement account referenced in the meeting) to comply with CARES/SECUREs Act requirements and approved entering an administrative services agreement with Horace Mann to administer flexible-spending and health-savings accounts for employees.
All items were approved by motion and roll-call vote as presented in the board packet; the meeting record reflects no amendments to those requests at the meeting.
