Gahanna — The City Council on Dec. 1 read Ordinance 53-2025, which would authorize the issuance and sale of economic development improvement and refunding revenue bonds (Series 2025) for the Columbus Academy project in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $15,000,000. The ordinance also authorizes related documents, including a loan agreement, bond purchase agreement and tax exemption certificate, and declares an emergency.
The reading was for introduction and first reading only; council scheduled the ordinance for second reading and adoption on the Dec. 15 agenda. No substantive debate or public comment on the bond ordinance was recorded during the meeting.
