Dolton trustees approve landmark designation, tax levy and Class 8 for former glass factory; hire finance director

The mayor said the board insisted on a net-zero property-tax increase this year: “So property taxes will not be affected by this,” the mayor said, adding that adjustments were made elsewhere in the budget to compensate for inflation.
