Community Development staff asked the Anderson City Board of Public Works on Nov. 4 to approve a contract to reconstruct the public restrooms at Warren Miller Park and identified Fredericks as the lowest and most responsive bidder.
"They were the lowest and most responsive," Community Development staff said when presenting the bid tabulation. The staff request specified a contract amount of $138,953. Board member (Speaker 2) moved to award the contract to Fredericks as requested; the Chair seconded and the board approved the award by voice vote.
The motion approves the contract award as presented; staff did not provide further breakdown of funding sources or a construction schedule during the meeting. The board’s vote completes the local approval step needed for the department to proceed with contracting.
