The Dearborn County Board approved a one‑year renewal of the county’s economic development services agreement with 1 Dearborn on Dec. 2, 2025.
Mike Perleperg (presented as Mike Perleberg in the packet), executive director of 1 Dearborn, told commissioners the organization has supported 13 committed or constructed projects during the past five years and has helped attract about $100,800,000 in new private investment to Dearborn County. Perleperg said the group’s efforts also supported an estimated $21,400,000 in additional annual payroll and helped retain or create roughly 670 jobs.
Perleperg said 1 Dearborn had helped secure about $17.5 million in grant funding through programs such as IEDC Ready, Stellar Pathways and Duke Energy initiatives, and that a recent $1.5 million leverage translated into an extra $1 million toward affordable senior housing expansion at North Dearborn Village.
Commissioners unanimously approved the 2026 economic development service agreement and asked staff to complete the standard signature process.
What’s next: 1 Dearborn will submit an executed agreement with county signatures and continue to report project outcomes to the board.
