The Northern Lebanon School District Board of Directors reorganized Dec. 2, electing Barry Nam as board president and swearing in four reelected directors.
Barry Nam was nominated, seconded and approved by voice vote; after the vote Director Nam returned the gavel to the chair and thanked the board. "Barry Nam, congratulations. You are elected as board president," a board member announced after the vote.
The meeting opened with the temporary president process required under the public school code. Holdover directors selected Director Williams to serve as temporary president. Director Williams then administered the oath of office to Martha Blau, Robert England, David Klein and Stacy Murray.
The board also approved its 2026 meeting calendar and designated the Lebanon Daily News as the newspaper of general circulation, both carried unanimously. Multiple board members expressed appreciation for continuing committee and liaison appointments; the board voted to continue prior representatives to the Lebanon County TCC executive committee, CTC joint committee and other externally facing assignments.
Superintendent Dr. Messinger provided a brief report calling attention to seasonal events and instructional planning, noting third-grade teachers will meet to write curriculum with AI help and that Melissa McInerney has led the work. The meeting closed after standard committee reports and routine personnel and minutes approvals.
The board adjourned following unanimous votes on the routine agenda items and appointments.
