An engineer for a proposed RV park described a plan for an 87‑lot transient RV park to the Wayne County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 1. Adam Wilkinson of Goose Creek Engineering said the project would start with a 49‑lot first phase, include pull‑in/back‑in stalls, and offer amenities such as a pool, pool house, pickleball court and dog park. Wilkinson said some units would resemble tiny homes on mobile chassis but would remain subject to the county’s transient‑use rules; he said stays would be limited to 90 days or less.
Wilkinson told the board the project intends to use a private system with Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) permitting and shared septic tanks feeding drainfields, and that the team is coordinating with the county health department. "We are very well aware that this has to be transient... 90 days or less," Wilkinson said.
Commissioners asked for renderings and for the developer to meet with the county building inspector and county attorney before returning with the item for a formal consideration. The chair emphasized that information and any legal or code clarifications should be provided at the next meeting before a vote would be taken.
