Zoning commission elects Tony Brass chair; Shannon chosen as vice chair

After discussion about having cross-representation between chair and vice chair, the presiding officer announced, "We have 4 for Shannon, which is a majority," and declared Shannon elected vice chair. Commissioners offered congratulations to both leaders.
The presiding officer reminded the body that, under the commission bylaws, only regular members may nominate and vote for officers. Commissioners also agreed to defer approval of the meeting minutes until the commission's next scheduled meeting on Dec. 15.
