She said local government depends on volunteers and called on residents to "pay attention, engage, participate, ask questions, vote."
Mac described public service as a shared responsibility and said her office will strive to serve all community members "equally and fairly." She framed the coming term around collaboration, civic participation and practical priorities. Looking ahead, Mac identified the town’s upcoming budget process and proposed charter revisions as items ‘‘on deck’’ for the board during the new term.
After the address, Mac invited attendees to the lobby for refreshments and noted that the board’s first public meeting will follow shortly. The ceremony included a guest address and musical elements before the event closed.
