At the Nov. 18 meeting the Costa Mesa City Council moved and approved the balance of the consent calendar after pulling item 6 for further discussion. Council noted a recusal by Council Member Gameros on consent item 3 due to an affiliation noted on the consent warrants list. The motion to approve the remaining consent items passed by voice vote with a 7–0 roll-call confirmation.
Council then discussed the pulled consent item concerning a code cross-reference for electrical disconnect locations. Staff and the fire marshal confirmed the intended text and the city attorney said the correction could be treated as a typographical correction and incorporated at final adoption. Council adopted the correction by voice vote, 7–0.
Both votes were procedural approvals of routine items; staff noted that the pulled item will be handled separately and that typographical corrections will be made before any final ordinance adoption.
