Shaker Heritage Site seeks permission to install restrooms in 1915 Barn; organizers say county cost is zero

The director noted that the property currently uses rented trailer restrooms for events and described the site as seasonal, with several buildings on the property. Legislators asked where current restrooms are located; she clarified the meeting house is the primary facility and that the 1915 Barn is another building on the property.
The committee moved and seconded the item and the record shows the item carried unanimously during the meeting. The approval clears the way for the Shaker Heritage Site to proceed to bid solicitation and further fundraising to cover any remaining costs.
