Amanda Rotella, economic vitality manager, said the Lot 12 project with Alta Housing is moving forward and will require closing the public parking lot starting about Jan. 19, with construction anticipated to begin in February or March 2026. Rotella said staff will undertake communications and outreach to the library, city employees and visitors about the temporary loss of parking.
