At its Oct. 14 meeting, the Atchison County Commission voted to authorize the chair to sign fourth-quarter bond trust indenture payments tied to the sports-complex sales-tax revenue bonds. The finance director presented payments totaling $12,500 to be paid from the designated fund.
The finance director reported the county’s accounts-payable run included $147,007.32 in total disbursements for Oct. 15 and noted credit-card charges of $60.25. She also said one fund briefly showed a negative cash balance of $0.01 due to an incorrectly entered payment for a USD truancy officer; the error was corrected and the fund balance will display positive in the next AP run.
Commissioners moved and seconded to authorize the signature and approve the finance director’s review; both motions passed by recorded votes of 2–0. The commission then adjourned into a workshop for the remainder of the day.
