The report included specific achievement-integration data from Victoria Beckman. Beckman said 930 students took the math MCA; among roughly 262 students eligible for free and reduced-price meals, 40.1% met proficiency in math compared with a state average of 26.5%. For students of color, Beckman reported about 50% proficiency in math and roughly 53.5% proficiency in reading (state reading averages cited in the presentation were in the low 30s).
Menke summarized district-wide assessment highlights and professional-development efforts tied to interventions, saying the district sent 73 staff to a 55-hour OLA training and will provide paraprofessional reading training in January. He also described READ Act screening tools (identified in the transcript as CAPD/read basic) being used to identify students for earlier reading interventions.
The presentation included Minnesota report card figures: fifth-grade science “meets and advanced” at 29.5% (state 26.5%), eighth-grade science at 25.6% (noted as above state average in the presentation), and a verified 2024 cohort graduation rate of 93.3% compared with a state average of 84.2%.
Board members asked clarifying questions and thanked presenters for the work; the district said the full goals and measures would be posted online under the district’s civic‑readiness/world’s‑best‑workforce materials.
