The presentation described trauma‑informed practices, licensed school‑based mental‑health staff, partnerships with community agencies and planned coaching and training for staff, including bilingual and culturally responsive providers.
Robinson said the district used multiple platforms (school health assessment, Panorama universal screener and the WISC whole‑school model) to inventory strengths and identify improvement areas. Panorama results showed small increases in supportive relationships and stable emotional‑regulation indicators in 6–12 student perception surveys; staff also reported an uptick in federal funds projected for some programs. Robinson noted the district has partnered with several community agencies and is adding partnerships to expand school‑based supports.
A student‑led initiative, Rising for Resilience, was described by a student partner (Taima) who said the group organized listening circles, created student action plans and will participate in district 'wellness Wednesday' events. Board members praised the breadth of the plan and agreed to include it on the consent agenda for formal adoption.
