HR committee to present Eastern University affiliation and emergency-transport MOU to board

The Bethlehem Area SD Human Resources Committee met Oct. 13 and confirmed two items for the Oct. 20 board meeting: an affiliation agreement that consolidates several separate agreements with Eastern University across departments, and a two-year memorandum of understanding to provide emergency transportation for Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts.
The affiliation agreement was described as a consolidation to keep multiple student-placement agreements tidy across Eastern University’s colleges and departments. The transportation MOU was described as a routine renewal; the presenter asked Mark to confirm details and said the MOU is routinely renewed every two years.
Doctor Bersa said there were no other discussion or information items for the HR committee that night. Mr. Fasanetto noted there would be no executive session, and the committee moved to adjourn. Both items will be included in the board packet for the Oct. 20 meeting.
