Student representatives from Freedom and Liberty outline fall events, fundraisers and academic programs

Two student representatives updated the Bethlehem Area SD board on school activities and upcoming events.
Eliza Moore, student representative from Freedom High School, said AP exam registration concluded Nov. 12 and highlighted a Turkey Bowl at BASD Stadium on Nov. 25, with proceeds to benefit the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley. "These exams are an opportunity for successful students to earn college credit while still in high school," Moore said. She also noted fall athletics, theater performances and a student food drive supporting LVHN Hackerman Packs House.
Miss Ishmael, student representative from Liberty High School, described Veterans Day performances, an active course-selection process for the 2026–27 school year and mentorship/shadowing programs. "As we get closer to Thanksgiving break, our students have continued to be involved and focused on school," she told the board. She also reminded the board about Liberty’s powderpuff and faculty games and said tickets cost $5 with proceeds benefiting the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley.
Both reports were presented during the student-representative portion of the meeting and provided upcoming dates and community-service details for families and staff.
