Council approves minutes, tables Rule 28a and refers new business to committees

The Braintree Town Council conducted routine business at its Oct. 7 meeting, approving minutes, tabling a proposed rule on executive session minutes, and referring new business to committees.
A motion and second were made to approve the June 17, 2025 minutes; the Council approved them by unanimous voice vote. Councilor Ringus reported that the Ordinance & Rules committee reviewed proposed Town Council Rule 28a (concerning executive session minutes), concluded the proposal contained language that could create complications, and the committee voted to table it. The full council subsequently moved, seconded and unanimously voted to table Rule 28a.
The council also approved a motion to refer new business items to their respective committees by unanimous voice vote. President Ryan closed the meeting by scheduling the next session for Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m., thanking BCAM staff for televising the meeting, and taking a unanimous voice vote to adjourn.
