Braintree council honors U12 Little League regional champions

The Braintree Town Council opened its Oct. 7 meeting by recognizing the Braintree American Little League U12 team, which won district, state and New England regional titles and appeared at the Little League World Series.
Mia Joyce introduced the players and coaches, naming head coach Frank Fasoli and assistant coaches PJ Kippenhand, Sean Needle, Chad Guthrow and others, and praised the team’s series of titles. Coach Rasouli thanked the community and recounted the team’s long run and intense practice schedule, saying, "So we couldn't do it without the town of Brantree." Councilors offered congratulations and said the team’s sportsmanship and teamwork brought the town together over the summer.
The councilors and coaches posed for photos on the Cahill Auditorium stage before resuming the agenda. No formal council action was required for the recognition.
