During the Nov. 6 meeting, Miss Bensley briefed the planning board on recent County Council actions. She highlighted Bill 67‑25, which amends zoning regulations to permit storage of construction equipment related to state highway projects in certain office/residential zones. She also described Resolution 49‑25, in which the County Council urged the Maryland Department of the Environment to deny a wastewater permit requested by Days Cove Reclamation Company for a rubble landfill at 6425 Days Cove Road, and urged a plan to close the site because of pollution and prior permit noncompliance.
Bensley further summarized a council resolution asking the director of planning to amend the official Fifth District zoning map to return some properties to pre‑CCMP 2024 zoning classifications. She concluded her report by noting that this report covered the main council items since the prior planning board meeting.
