Atchison County approves purchase orders for IT renewals and names KCAMP delegate

Atchison County commissioners on Oct. 28 approved several purchase orders presented by Finance Director Mark Zeltner, and appointed a voting delegate for the Kansas Association of Counties (KCAMP/KAC) meetings.
Zeltner said the county must pay the remaining balance on the extension council appropriation ($1,009.75) after October distributions left a shortfall. Commissioners approved a purchase order to cover the remainder.
Zeltner reviewed three IT items: a $7,001.50 annual contract with Crowe for SentinelOne endpoint/security tools installed after an earlier cyber incident; a Dell support/renewal with ConvergeOne budgeted at $6,212.50 for virtual servers and software support; and a SmartNet renewal with ConvergeOne for about $6,009.40 to cover switches, courthouse firewall and VPN. Commissioners approved each of the purchase orders by voice vote.
For the KCAMP voting form, Zeltner said appraiser Holly had agreed to serve as the alternate. The board voted to appoint James Campbell as the county delegate and Holly as alternate; the chair will sign and the county clerk will submit the form.
