The Bradley County Schools board approved a request to transfer ownership of bus Route 29 from Teresa Phillips to Crystal Redmer effective Nov. 21.
Transportation supervisor Terry McElhaney presented the request, saying Crystal Redmer and her husband are experienced bus drivers who had been vetted. A motion to accept the transfer was made, seconded and approved by roll call with seven affirmative votes and no recorded negatives.
Board members thanked Mr. McElhaney and recognized the transportation staff’s work; Mr. McElhaney said he was humbled by the acknowledgment.
