Parent urges stricter threat policy after student threatened; speakers raise appraisal district concerns

Parent Jordan Tullius described two separate incidents in which a classmate allegedly threatened to shoot his son. He said the school initially involved police and signed a "stay away" agreement but that district follow‑through was inconsistent; he told trustees the family was offered a campus transfer or otherwise told there was no further disciplinary option. Tullius asked the board whether the district would adopt a stricter policy for handling explicit threats so action is taken before a tragedy occurs.
Another speaker who identified herself as a member of the Tarrant Appraisal District board raised concerns about a conflict of interest and vote‑allocation errors at a recent ARB hearing and urged trustees to be aware of potential inaccuracies. A third commenter raised questions about county contracts for aerial photography used by appraisal processes and said a recent public video included incorrect vote numbers.
Board policy does not permit trustee responses during open forum; staff and trustees heard the concerns and the superintendent's office and operations staff are expected to follow up on safety, discipline and any procedural questions raised.
