The Benton County Board of Education on Monday elected Jared Kinney as board chair and Robert Livingston as vice chair during its September meeting.
Board members opened the meeting with nominations for chair and then for vice chair. After a voice vote the chair position was filled and the board moved on to nominate and approve Robert Livingston as vice chair. There were no recorded objections during the nominations.
The board also approved the meeting agenda and the consent agenda, which included the August minutes and a collection of routine approvals such as overnight trip requests for CHS softball and several CTE club and Beta Club overnight trips for the 2025–26 school year.
The meeting proceeded with routine business after the elections and the consent approvals.
