"This is definitely, in the wheelhouse of what the Community Foundation does," Sean Walraven said, describing the foundation's role in getting funds into services and in measuring results. Shauna Walraven was noted as the entity the board selected to administer disbursement.
Board members said they want the funds to be spent wisely, emphasized the need for paperwork and follow-up, and observed that additional settlement proceeds (for example from Purdue Pharma) could increase available funds in coming years. The motion passed.
