Board approves agenda, minutes and donations; moves to executive session
Summary
Trustees approved the meeting agenda and consent items (minutes, finance report, personnel, open enrollments), accepted donated items from Kiwanis Club, First Lutheran Church and private donors, and voted to move into executive session under SDCL 1-25-2(3); all motions passed and the public was dismissed.
The board moved and seconded to approve the meeting agenda; the motion passed. Trustees later approved minutes from Oct. 14, Oct. 20 and Nov. 5, the finance report, bills, personnel report and open enrollments as part of the consent agenda.
The board accepted donated items listed in the agenda: Kiwanis Club donated $125 to each elementary school (Madera, Dakota Prairie and Hillcrest); First Lutheran Church contributed $15.97 and 7¢ to the child wellness program; and John and Susanna Haringa donated $200 to the Mickelson school band. A motion to accept and approve the donated items was moved, seconded and passed.
At the end of the regular session the board moved to enter executive session pursuant to South Dakota codified law 1-25-2 subsection 3, and the motion passed. Board President asked the public to leave and said there would be no action after the executive session.
