The manager said approving the amendment would keep the county’s fund balance near 33 percent, within the board’s policy range.
A commissioner moved to approve the budget amendment; the board approved the amendment by voice vote.
The manager also warned of fiscal uncertainty tied to recent Medicaid and SNAP policy changes at the state and federal level that could increase county costs; staff committed to returning with more detailed estimates in a future meeting.
