BVSD board approves consent agenda including contract amendments, litigation settlement, IT refresh and bus purchases

At the Nov. 18 meeting the Boulder Valley School District board approved its consent agenda, voting in favor of a cluster of routine and operational items after no board member requested pulling any of those items for separate discussion.
Items approved included: personnel actions; approval of minutes from Oct. 28, 2025; acceptance of donations to Lewisville Elementary and Southern Hills Middle School; multiple contract amendments for Aspen Creek PK–8, BCSIS High Peaks Elementary, Centennial Middle School, Crestview Elementary, Fair View High School, Manhattan Middle School, Platt Middle School, and Southern Hills Middle School; acceptance of a Marshall Fire litigation settlement; approval of an IT network refresh purchase; purchase of school buses; grant assistance for superintendent of schools; and grant sustainability funding for a large building decarbonization project with the Colorado Energy Office.
The consent package was approved by motion, second, and roll-call; recorded votes were unanimous for the items included in the package that was not pulled. The board also handled a separate policy consent grouping and later pulled policy items 10.10 and 10.11 for discussion.
The board did not debate detailed contract or settlement terms during the consent vote on Nov. 18; individual items still require standard implementation steps by district departments.
