Burke County DSS rolls out 30‑60‑90 onboarding and QA review after PATH go-live; board accepts operational report 4–0

Burke County Department of Social Services staff presented a monthly operational report on Oct. 6 that focused on staff training, onboarding and quality assurance in child welfare.
The training supervisor described a newly developed 30‑60‑90 onboarding plan that pairs new hires with trainers in the field and sets milestone goals. "We've developed a 30, 60, and 90 day plan where each milestone has certain goals that each new hire has to meet," the training supervisor said, describing on-the-job coaching and casework accompaniment.
Staff also reported that Burke County went live in the PATH state child-welfare system on Aug. 11. The quality-assurance supervisor emphasized structured procedures, consistent policy application, and the use of data to identify trends and reduce errors across teams.
Following the presentation, a commissioner moved to accept the report. The board recorded a voice vote of 4–0 to accept the operational report as presented.
The presenters said they will continue implementing the onboarding milestones and regular case reviews, and will return with updates as the program matures.
