Arlington ISD casts all 160 votes for Eric Crile in Tarrant Appraisal District election

Arlington ISD trustees decided Nov. 20 to cast all 160 of the district’s votes for Eric Crile in the Tarrant Appraisal District (TAD) board election.
Administrators had recommended splitting votes (130 for Crile, 30 for Wendy Burgess), but trustees debated strategy, citing current tallies reported by a speaker and the desire to maximize chances of electing two preferred candidates. Trustee Mike moved to allocate all votes to Crile; the motion was seconded and approved unanimously.
Board members cited recent TAD activity and policy direction as reasons the district should influence the outcome; Superintendent Dr. Smith said administration supported the board’s choice. The votes will be cast as recorded on the district’s ballot allocation form.
