County updates: Vector building remodel, elevator rehab and furniture procurement delays

"We're in progress of painting... and then from there we'll move directly into carpet," Unidentified Speaker (S4) said, adding they expect furniture to arrive "before the end of the year."
The speaker also reviewed the south elevator rehab: a new motor, hydraulics and modernized controls were installed because the older system could no longer be serviced. Unidentified Speaker (S4) said interior updates were made while most exterior walls remained unchanged.
Discussion included which entities pay for courtroom furnishings; Unidentified Speaker (S3) said courtroom furniture is often purchased (state vs. county responsibilities vary) and that some judges' office furnishings have been supplied over time by Rough Rider Industries and by prison-industry production.
No formal procurement votes were taken; staff will provide pricing and furniture order details to the commission for review.
