The senior center director thanked road and maintenance crews and announced a single holiday meal on Dec. 12 at 11 a.m.; SilverSneakers equipment ordered by the district will become county property.
Animal shelter volunteer policy: Staff said they had discussed juvenile volunteers with Sue Porter and that while liability increases with minors, coverage is available and liability waivers could allow supervised juvenile participation. A draft policy was expected by early next year.
Next steps: The court will formalize appointments by motion and staff will return with a drafted juvenile-volunteer policy for the shelter.
