Bound Brook recognizes students and staff of the month across schools

The board recognized students of the month from the high school, Community Middle School, Smalley School, Lafayette and Lamont Annex and named Bridal Young educator of the month and Patrick DeSenna staff member of the month.
The Bound Brook Board of Education began its October meeting by honoring numerous students and staff across the district.
Administrators called students to the stage for group photos and read brief biographies for each Student of the Month (including favorites, siblings and career aspirations) from Bound Brook High School, Community Middle School, Smalley School, Lafayette and Lamont Annex.
Superintendent Dr. Freeman invited Mr. Smith to announce the high school honorees, and principals from other schools read nominations for their students. The board also recognized Bridal Young as Educator of the Month for organizing a pep rally and supporting third‑grade learning growth, and named Patrick DeSenna Staff Member of the Month for his leadership of the RVCC workforce learning partnership that helps students earn high school and college credits.
The board invited students and families onstage for a photograph and offered additional applause for their achievements.
