Bound Brook board approves consent blocks, flags new AI policy to be adopted

During governance committee remarks, Board member Mr. Bau (governance chair) said the district discovered a missing policy referenced elsewhere and that the board would move to adopt policy 2365 to correct the reference in policy 5701. "We are going to be approving that policy. It's being read tonight for the first time," he said.
Several trustees asked clarifying questions about privacy protections for employees (the board has moved to display some leaves by employee ID rather than name) and about which specific edits had been made to revised policies before the votes. Administration said the change to use employee ID numbers stemmed from a privacy request and HR recommendations.
The board then took roll‑call votes to approve minutes, personnel and education resolutions and the board action resolutions listed on the agenda. No contested votes were recorded in the transcript; those items were announced as approved by roll call.
The board also approved HIB (harassment, intimidation and bullying) findings for cases listed in the agenda and later approved an insurance resolution before adjourning.
