The Bloomfield Hills Schools Board of Education recorded several formal actions at its Nov. 24 meeting.
Consent agenda: Trustee Noble moved to approve the consent agenda as presented; the motion passed 7–0.
Franklin Building renovation (Bid Pack 18): The board approved a motion to accept Bid Pack 18 for Franklin renovations in the amount of $549,036.42, inclusive of a 10% contingency to be paid from bond funds. The motion passed by a 7–0 vote.
Oakland County Parks partnership authorization: The board voted 7–0 to adopt a resolution authorizing Superintendent West to continue discussions and enter negotiations with Oakland County Parks regarding a potential partnership for Bowers School Farm and the Johnson Nature Center. The resolution requires a draft agreement, fiscal impact statement and operational implications to be returned to the board for approval before execution.
Closed session: The board voted to convene a closed session under MCL 15.268(8)(a) to discuss the superintendent's evaluation; the motion passed 7–0 and the meeting moved to closed session.
All motions passed unanimously; recorded roll calls listed Trustees Abel, Baker, Fallah, Hill, Noble, Cohen and Southward voting yes on the partnership resolution.
